Non US cars did not have the gasoline vapor container so they stowed the wheel chock on the front end of the luggage bag. The bag and chock still fit the US cars this way, but the one you are selling would be more correct for a US E3.

I bought mine from CS Werk. They are restored originals (at least mine was)...not reproductions .

That's right regarding Series 2 cars. ECE cars got the same setup as USA versions including the luggage bag starting in September 1973 with the Series 3.

That would not have been too clever. Imagine accessing the spare wheel with a (full) luggage bag fixed to the boot floor panel you have to remove.
