1973 BMW 3.0 CS coupe, manual trans. Original zenith carbs, air filter assembly, power steering and brakes. Agave green, originally tan interior. The original seats and door/trim panels were removed for another build, in the car currently are blue cloth seats. Dash has original gages, Kilometer speedo. It has the usual Karmann body rust in the front fenders and inners, forward floorpans mainly drivers side has rust and a poor patch, and external rocker trims are rusty at the front. Front frame rails and still solid, the car does start, run, steer, stop and move. Front nose surround, hood and grills nice. Doors back the body is nice, belt molding and window trim bright work intact, taillights and center panel, trunk lid (blue) good condition as well. Good fuel tank, some rust in spare tire recess, inner fenders/shock towers solid. Bought as a project in 2006, it has been stored indoors up to friday 12/8 when I got it out and trailered it home. It has 10 plus year old gas, and seems the more it runs the worse it wants to run!! This is for sure a large scale project, lots of potential, with a clear title...

I looked at this last night. Its rough. Lots of good parts. There is a lot of questionable bodywork in the inner front fenders. No metal repair just a cover-up that is coming apart.

Great feedback Jon. I have been in communication with the seller also and have a bunch of photos and doubt I will pursue it. Just way to much rust everywhere in many visible places, which suggests oh so much more. So for anyone to buy it, it will be a full body panel off repair with a need for many new panels. I recall someone saying before that the cheapest E9s can end up costing the most to save and that is true here too I believe. A good base for someone that is very keen and has a good budget...

Its now at Redneck Florida Car Club. Thank ya Andrew. Makes me wanna sell my other 3.0cs and turn into a 3.5csl tribute. If it doesn't sell before I get sick of looking at it I might do a partial parting on this one, anyone need interior bits and euro bumpers???
