Good day folks,

Looking for a little info.

I have searched through photos of factory brochures but did not find an answer to my question. Were there any factory optioned headliner colors other than white/ivory/off white? Specifically for a 1972 3.0CSi.

Secondary question, will the birth certificate from BMW Classic, what information is given other than production and destination country?

Cheers to all.
Rich

secondary question first - with the VIN, they will tell you its birth date, the date it was delivered to either a dealer (non-USA) or to Hoffman (USA). they will tell you the original color. this is about all of the information that you are going to get.

to my knowledge there were only 2 colors of headliners for the e9 - the CSL had a black headliner and all other CS / CSi had the off-white headliner. it was basically a white, but not pure white ... they yellowed over the years, so the exact original white color is not a definable thing.

i forgot that i had listed ranger white in the FAQ - what color goes where ...

Soooo… my navy blue headliner is not oem? LOL. Didn’t think so, just wanted to confirm.

Thank you for the info!
