Hello all,

I have a 1987 535i engine in my e9 coupe that was installed in 2001 with a nine blade fan and 3 row radiator; I am trying to remove the fan clutch. Everywhere I've looked and all the videos talk about a 32mm nut that has to be loosened while holding a nut on the water pump pulley. I don't appear to have that setup. I don't see a 32mm nut and the water pump pulley has no nuts on it. The fan attached to the clutch is part # 1273086. I had a 10mm nut on the front of the fan facing the radiator that I was able to loosen by holding the water pump pulley, then I was able to pry out a 1" round piece that was underneath it which is flat on one side and molded on the other. But the fan clutch still doesn't want to come out; I spun it back and forth and it doesn't appear threaded. Trying to lever it off doesn't seem to be making any impact although I haven't gone crazy with that approach, it's more of a gentle nudge.

Anyone else have this setup and any ideas of how to remove this clutch?

Many thanks, Alan
