Fan clutch replacement

I think this is just a question, why cant we remove fan and fan clutch and install a electric fan that I am planning to do on my car like a new BMW and it will add a 20 to 30 HP on engine and will run much more smoother and less engine noise am I right?
Electric fans are much louder than a stock fan.

(Noob question warning; I havent even looked inside a fan once in my life...)

Isn't it an option to get the original fiction material replaced?

I have a shop locally that seems to do almost anything with fiction material inside. They custom build new plates for a 1920 Rolls Royce that did Paris to Beijing with it. It wouldn't be much different then lining the shoes of drum brakes would it?
That would be hand work for sure, and thus perhaps price being the reason to choose otherwise?

(I haven't checked yet what is inside my 5 blade fan....It'll likely be removed from my block in a week or 2.)

Just to answer my own question, in case another forum member may searching for thesame in the future:
Yes, the old style friction clutch can be recovered. User Dequincey did it. In my case it wasn't necessary as the thickness of the friction material is 2,7 mm which is same as NOS condition.
See picture.
