fender pads, adhesive

I am days away from paint on the car... need to 'glue' the OEM style hex pattern cutout pads to the fenders/engine compartment. I used the OEM material and was not adhesive backed. Need recomendation for glue/adhesive. thanks. DCG
 
dont

dont do it - pads do next-to-nothing for dampening sound/vib, but do a great job of trapping moisture. leave them off.

here we can find selfadhesive bituminous heavy pads, i used them on the recent wiper mechanism renewal, you can find a thread on the topic on the projects section

certainly they do have a dampening effect, if they are of the right material, not spongous, and correctly glued you will have no problem at all, IMHO
