Flag vs. trapezoid mirror ?

makes me wonder if any of the '75 euro 2.5cs had trap or flag. i know you are correct that the orange book did not show them ... but it doesn't list the trap going on the 2.5cs. it only shows the electric mirror, which seems odd for the bottom end (affordable) coupe.
Scott, It is possible that in Europe some e9 got the Flag mirror but the Parts Book is 11/75 and e3 Parts Book is 3/75 and neither have the flag mirror.
just curious, no idea, it just seems that when they made the change to the 2002 - they probably would have done it to other cars. many of the e3 made in 75 and 76 were 3.0si, which probably had electric mirrors. also curious about the 75 - 77 530i. if i remember right, the 78 + 79 had electric mirrors
76/77 e3 could have had flags and e12 had either flag or electric I believe as electric was an option.
Just checked, 530i only had flags, 528i had electric as an option

So I head out to the grocery store and as I'm walking through the parking lot, I spot a Toyota Corolla 1200 and I wander over to take a look...
Check out this mirror... looks like Toyota copied the BMW (or other European car brand's) mirror. It might be blasphemy, but perhaps you could use Toyota mirrors until you find the actual BMW swan mirrors you're looking for?

That's right, my 2800CSA is manufactured on the 7th July 1969 and sold in Germany.

Your right, very difficult to find. Last year a small batch has been produced new in Germany, but already sold out.
