Floor and carpet clean up/rust proof project - questions for the experts

Yes that's on the list, before doing so I want to make sure that if they are wrapped like the original harness below that it will all fit under the carpet. Presently they are zip tied and in this state they can be flattened to fit if necessary. Game time decision. That's nice tape, I've been using the 3m cloth tape, available at HD.

Before you close everything up, I'd suggest you get some cloth tape to wrap up those extra wires. I got some German made Coroplast that I've been using on my Boxster to redo the harness on my Boxster project. They'll take up less space and be less likely to abrade.
Here's a link for some on eBay.

Steve

There are CLOSED CELL type foams that are used in boat cushions, I would recommend you to use them. As the name implies, it's cell structure is such that there are no holes, just air filled spheres. They don't soak water. Also they have very good isolation properties. My boat had cheap cushions which would weigh a ton after rain and wouldn't dry for days. I changed them to closed cell and new had an issue after that.

cheers
