I just got back to check on my car and found that I had left the welting in place when I removed the interior for the upholstery shop. The rear quarter panel welting, and both front and rear door card pieces were easy to remove. However, I can't see an easy way to remove the front piece as it appears to be sandwiched behind the dashboard. I didn't want to start drilling out the rivets on the channel that holds the welting only to find that I have to remove the whole dashboard to get the upper part out. Is there an easy way to remove this?
@Drew Gregg - mentioned that his shop attached the welting to rear of the door cards, rather than gluing it to the door itself. My upholstery shop recommended doing the same thing. Just curious about opinions of that.
