I have aquired 3 NOS fuel sender units for an E9.
they are identical to the one on my 1973 3.0 CS automatic.
Info according BMW-classic.de , BMW's own classic car part information:
Partnumber 62 16 1352617
Fitting 12/68 through 11/75,
for both Auto and Manual,
both ECE and US region,
Both 2800CS, 3.0 Cs and 3.0CSL and
both L and R steering.
(So i conclude they don't fit on 3.0 Csi from 02/72 through 11/75, Nor 2500. For sure also doesnt fit E3 or E10.)
Date stamped 12/75 and 2 have 3/76.
Condition is quite nice they just lost some of their yellow zinc shine.
All three have a crack in the white plastic tube at the fuel hose attachement.
(i'm checking if i can source new (generic) ones from PA6.6 plastic)
Dimension is 252 mm measured from underside of top cap.
Clean fuel filter at the bottom of course.
They all three have the transport lock (little wire) still attached.
Measured with a Ohm meter they all three show 60 plus minus 2 ohms, as expected for a functional Unit (which is also as far as my electrical knowledge goes )
I can't measure the resistance with the float at the "full tank" level, as the transportation lock (wire) is still in place.
100 Euro's / 105 USD a piece. (www.bmw-classic.de price is 193 euro's, local dealer 180 euro's )
Located in the Netherlands, willing to ship worldwide.
Last pic; See also my post in the General section, as I also aquired 2 very long and thin sender units , and 1 short sender unit that I cannot positively ID; anyone hint to which brand/type/model they belong?
regards, Erik.
