Hello everyone. I've been asked by a local friend to post that there is a UK based buyer, DAVID EFRON, who is literally ripping people off. My friend just lost a set of 3 piece BBS rims worth €1200! According to the Bayern Police, currently 18 such complaints are registered against that person.
The modus operandi is: First a few friendly emails requesting pics, info etc. Then a fake PayPal payment form (which is very well made up by the person himself) in which PayPal is demanding the tracking number(s) before releasing the funds. Which in effect means that you have to mail the stuff in order to get a tracking #. Yes, common sense prevails ( in this case, after the fact).
But, the best part is that my friend writes him a frustrated email threatening him with Russian hooligans (absurd, since we are in Germany and the other guy in England) and the cocky guy replies saying " thanks for taking the trouble but I am a member of the Russian hooligan gang and I doubt my brothers will come looking for me"!
Have a great weekend

This is somewhat similar to the fraud technique employed to buy used cars off Craigs List. With the car fraud, they actually use paypal accounts stolen from others to make payment; it therefore appears you have gotten paid, but Paypal reverses the payment after you deliver the vehicle.

Interesting how you can commit a Paypal fraud. Thanks for the warning, hope bad things happen to the thieves.
