Hi everyone. I'll be attending the Woodley Park event on Saturday and I have a temporary seat I want to give away (free) to a good home.

I pulled it out of the passenger side of (if I remember right) an E36 in a local junk yard and modified it to fit my coupe. It served me well as a passenger seat in my car while I re-did the original, and then it served nicely as a temporary driver's seat even though the controls are on the right side. It bolts to the E9 or E3 seat rails and only sits a tiny bit higher than stock. Seat back control is built into it, and sliding adjustment would be provided by the E9 hardware. It was pretty comfortable.

It isn't worth finding a way to ship and it will never go back into an E36 because it's modified. I can throw it away knowing it served its purpose but I thought I'd offer it to anyone taking on the same project. But only if you're willing to take it from me Saturday morning so I don't have to drive around with it all weekend! Here are pictures. PM me if interested so I can make sure not to promise it to two people by accident! Thanks and see you there!

great idea and offer... sure beets sitting on a milk crate when moving your project around

David, I wish I had read this before last week... I would have been all over it.

Did you find that e36 seat to be comfortable? It looks like it would be much more so than the original CS seat without looking as hard core as the e24 Recaros.

What mods did you have to do to make it fit? Looks like a transversal rail and two 90 degree angle irons from the pics...

Thanks

Bo
