Ok. So somehow when I last closed my window it went beyond the normal closed position. The motor was unable to bring it back down and so I have taken the whole thing apart - motor is out (2 piece) regulator is unbolted from door and removed from window track and I can't get it to manually collapse. Anyone else have this issue? I assumed that once the motor was disconnected the whole deal could be manipulated by hand.
The fact that it's not makes me think that the gear interface has come off track or become wedged.
Issue is I can't get the regulator out with it fully open.
Only timing i can think to do is somehow apply enough for e to pull the regulator arm down to get it unstuck and back on track at the gears.

Anyone else ever deal with this issue?

With the regulator still in place, you wouldn't be able to move the window manually. The mechanical advantage that the regulator's reduction gears utilize when driven by the motor becomes a DIS-advantage when you are applying force to the window.

Your best bet is to rotate the shaft going into the bottom of the regulator in direction that makes it go downward (most likely it will be jammed in the upward direction). If the white nylon knurled nob is still on that shaft, turning it should be fairly easy.

Thats what's not budging the arm that goes from the large heat to the window rail will not move at all.
