Having some fun putting together a 1975. It had a full resto on the rotisserie at body shop and now putting together. Passenger door fitment, glass went together with usual adjusting and fitting. There are some minor gaps business card thickness glass to rubber and door closes well. Drivers side just not cooperating, the top corner of the quarter frame contacts the A pillar before door hits latch, flexes door. I have elongated adjustment holes and no improvement. I tried without the quarter window closing mechanism. The glass frame is not the same contour as passenger side, the top dips down near the end and has a slight bow on leading edge that a contour gauge highlights. Wondering if the glass quarter frame frame is tweaked? Cannot seem to move the top leading edge away from A pillar enough, the door glass prevents it from moving more rearward and makes contact with body when closing door.
I can share videos, photos as needed, did a ton of searching and reading lately on how but not finding a solution. I fully realize it's time consuming have a week in it already adjusting, playing, disassembly looking for why but not getting results. The door window always has a gap to top seal as well that cannot adjust out as the glass frame needs to be so far "back" it impedes glass movement. PW motor dead ends on stop at max height. Rear window is adjusted and pretty decent.
I have pretty good door fitment to body lines, door is slightly outwards of body (all new seals). Cannot move door more back, no gap left and glass is very tight to hitting door post.

Any experiences to share? Ideas I may have overlooked?

this is a pretty adjustable frame. at the bottom mount, you can move the top sideways (in / out) by moving the nut on the shaft. you can also move the pivot point (at the top) to get the right angle.

Are both quarter glass frames supposed to be identical in shape and form or made to fit each vehicle uniquely? The left frame is noticeably different from right on this car. I cannot get the frame to line up without contact no matter how adjusted, even tipped out beyond the A pillar drip edge still makes contact.

they are standard pieces - i looked at 2 separate right sides to decide which one to put in the car - exact same size / shape. mine went in with the same gap at the angled front and the top - no issue. the left side was a little more obstinate.

Thank you for the quick reply. The more I compare each side the more tweaked the left frame is, the vent window makes contact with the top of the frame, right side has nice clearance. Tipping the frame adjustment in or out does not help with the contact point, cannot move it far enough back which only opens the gap to door seal. I have maxed each adjuster independently without any acceptable result. The A pillars match with a contour gauge. Not the frames.
