Front suspension... where do these go?

Real interesting. In the e9 diagram that "gasket ring" is under the washer. In the e28 diagram it is above, directly on the upper strut bearing.... Which one is right?

EDIT: Answering my own question here. According to Senor DQ in 2013, the e9 diagram is incorrect and the e28 one is showing the correct order.

EDIT 2: That thread has a ton of great info from DQ and several other forum members about assembling those suspension components. I wish I had remembered to re-read it before embarking on this.
