Hi Everyone -

After much deliberation, I've decided to sell my CSL. Runs good, solid chassis, much work and NOS D-jet parts were hunted down and installed to chase down previous D-jet issues (was the fuel tank!). Don L went through it when I bought it back from Russ, who I sold it to in 93 and bought it back from in 2020. Includes many parts for restoration, brand new Scheel fabric from Gerrit to do the seats and freshly restored 1972 date code correct 10mm fin Alpinas. Serious enquiries only please. Not to be difficult but I'd rather speak to folks that are serious about owning a CSL. I feel it's priced more than fairly and will be heading to BaT should it not sell here or locally in the next few weeks.

DM to exchange contact information and a subsequent call to discuss much more about this special car.

Thanks - Tyson

Every time I see the side profile of an E9 (the "dancing on friday & saturday" photo).. I'm convinced the designer of this car was a master student of japanese calligraphy.

The subtle rake on your car makes the outline appear as if the vehicle concept was drawn in two strokes of inspired genius. One stroke that began near ground level, defined the front profile, hood, windshield angle, roof line, rear windshield and trunk.. the second.. the body line trimmed in chrome. It just.. flows...

Good luck with your sale, and like @Stevehose, I look forward to reading about your next vehicle adventure.

Wow Tyson, first Steve, now you. Beautiful ride, I think this is the first time really seeing it other than your photo in your pic. This seems like a steal to me. I'm sure someone here will gobble this up that will really appreciate it. Like Steve, I hope you stick around the forum! Good luck with your next endeavors. Are you going a different direction or getting away from the vintage stuff? Must be a very tough decision. The wheels look really cool on there. Pardon my ignorance, are those BBS wheels or?

Thanks. No, just freeing up space and some financial considerations I'm dealing with. The wheels are 15" ATS. They actually don't look too bad and are quite light as well.

Tyson, Well, consider me shocked, but like all these things, there comes a time.

If anybody is looking for a CSL, this is an amazing price While I haven't seen the car in person, from talking with Tyson, he is a good guy and knows CSLs, so you can rely on his answers. More importantly, this looks like a great driver, that with a little fettling, could become a great driver. I would definitely not restore.

Good luck Tyson. Somebody will be getting a steal here

Thank you for the kind words, @BMW Pete. It's a great car with a unique history and would make a great driver as is or a great platform for restoration if you really want to go that route. The car comes with some very hard to find D-jet components and a host of parts for a restoration/improvement. I forgot to mention that in addition to the Scheel seat fabric from Gerritt, I also have his correct lightweight felt carpet kit that's still in the bags.
