I will be pulling the 3 speed automatic transmission (ZF 3HP-20) out of Patricia Mayer's 34k mile Coupe. I am selling the entire automatic as a package, including:
-transmission
-wiring and selector switch
-hydraulic hoses
-Dash display
-Automatic radiator with cooler
-Shift lever 'T' handle and linkage
-Guibo
-this is all a package, $380 for everything.

This trans works great and the car is currently running if you want to drive it before you buy it. I am in Orange County calif. Test drives are available the next 10 days.

I am respectful that some folks prefer the ease of driving an automatic. If you are going to keep your car an auto- this is a very low cost option. I'd like it to go to a 'working' home.

I am happy to palletize and ship, however you would have to pay the actual shipping cost from CA zip 92660.

Well.. good question. I suppose the best answer is that I want to keep the car original. There are other reasons like 1) I’m not really equipped for the project; 2) I’m not sure I want to invest a lot into an E3 (I used to have an E9 and was all set to drop a 3.5 and 5 speed but it all burned in a fire); 3) by staying with an automatic there will be minimal work to replace it. The main reason I was thinking about your trans is as a spare. Not sure at the moment but still thinking about it.

Hello, I am sorry about your E9 transmission is very heavy to ship I am in Los Angeles, are you in the range to come and take the transmission if you are then we can spend time to fined out if will work with your car all I know now it is from 1973 US E9

Thank you for the details. Normally I would be up for a road trip but with fuel prices as they are I prefer to wait until the come down (if they come down). Round trip is 900 miles and that’s conservatively $350 in diesel for my truck. I’ll check back with you if the situation changes.
