In close collaboration with Marek Szczepański in Poland, it's now possible to order interior parts in leather with color and texture matching original BMW E9 leather. Marek is a true leather craftsman, with decades of experience in producing custom BMW and Alpina interiors to the highest quality and the best materials available. Some of his work can be found on his FB: https://www.facebook.com/Nojser

Marek has ordered custom leather based on samples from genuine E9 leather interios, so after some searching for samples we can now offer black, blue and beige BMW E9 interiors with leather structure and color matching the original. More original colors will be added as we get access to original leather samples. It is also possible to order custom leather colors, alternatively choosing any of BMWs classic leather colors such as Lotus white in the BMW E24, Champagne as in the M5 E34 or Caramel as in the M5 E39. During the launch of our range of E9 leather products, we will offer a discount on the entire range of products until March 25. The prices below are not including VAT, customs and shipping. The parts will be made by Marek and sent from his workshop in Poland. We can also offer door handles and other accessories in leather or vinyl upon request.

Leather interior (front and rear seats + armrests)
Price: 2500 USD
Price after discount: 2100 USD
Please note: We only include the leather covers, you will have to install the covers on the seats yourself - or send them to your local leather workshop. Both the early seat cover design and the later design is available. We recommend to find a leather workshop with the necessary skills to mount the covers to achieve the best result possible.

Door cards front and rear
Price: 1600 USD
Price after discount: 1300 USD
Please note: The door cards upper sections are perforated and don't have the embossing you will find on the original door cards.

Rear window shelf
Price: 220 USD
Price after discount: 190 USD

This is a great opportunity to elevate the interior in your BMW E9 to the next level with perfect leather structure and color match to the original leather interiors available when new. those lines of wrinkles in the middle of the seats do no look a lot as to “elevate the interior to the next level”
is there a cure to that ?

@deQuincey It depends on how you mount the covers - so you can decide how the wrinkles will appear. For reference, this interior is an original E9 leather interior from my previous 3.0 CSi (I recolored the interior to reach this condition). The wrinkles are not "perfect" on the original either but I can agree that the line of wrinkles could have been made to be more symmetrical when the covers were mounted. Anyway, thanks for your feedback!

Can you produce the seat covers for the original 635 Csi with Recaro seats? If so, what would be the cost in the blue

what would the total be shipped for the Leather interior (front and rear seats + armrests) to Los Angeles California USA?

Looks like a beautiful product. I commend vendors putting in the time and effort to replicate original materials and design. We need more of them if BMW themselves don't give a crap about their historic customers...

@Oldbmwcoupes No problem, I know Marek has made several E24 interiors. If you would like to get references, please reach out to me on FB andI will be happy to provide you with some photos of previous projects.

@Bosozoku Shipping (with insurance) would be around 400 USD + VAT and customs.

@Michael Kaye Yes, we can make the later horizontal design as well.

@tferrer Many thanks, I completely agree with you. We have spent a lot of time to reproduce the leather and make the covers as close to original as possible.

I need to buy both map pockets for the door panels covered in tan leather. I have a sample of the World Upholstery leather I can send you or Marek. Is this possible? Here's are pics of my door panels W/O the map pockets. Note the armrests are also covered in leather.

@richard_csi ,

You have an opportunity to get it right where
others routinely fail. Make note of my post on leather in this thread:

Richard,
Do you have samples of what you have, or is each set custom fabricated/matched per the customers own supplied sample? I work in the upholstery furniture business, but that is different that automotive leather for several reasons...and photos vary even more than dye lots...
Thanks, Dave V. in NC, USA

@Drew Gregg It would cost a lot to produce door pockets based on a custom sample. There is a minimum order quantity I need to buy to order custom leather. Perhaps World Upholstery can provide you with leather and produce the door pocket at a local workshop?

@Markos Thanks Markos! I have seen that faded color in too many E9 black interiors.

@dave v. in nc I can provide samples and send to potential customers. It is difficult to get it right with the photos, but we have made several comparisons with original leather interiors and it is a perfect match. But of course, the original interior show up a bit different after five decades of wear.

@HB Chris Thanks Chris! I will inform Mare about this.
