An E28 friend found this and sold to me.
I don't need a front muffler as my car and exhaust is not stock.
I checked the dealer and there were 3 of these in the US. Retail almost $400.
Brand new never used.
First $250. plus shipping.

Hmm, Looks like it won't fit my 1970 2800CS according to RealOEM. Too bad. And the specified muffler has a much higher list price. Ouch.
It's a bit confusing since RealOEM lists my muffler as fitting up through 11/75 even though the later systems are shown with three mufflers and no specified date range.
Does it make sense to buy this anyway and make it fit by changing the pipe when time comes to put in in?

Ian, not enough of an expert to understand what the difference is between the years. It is confusing. I wouldn't use Realoem for pricing. Prices are not up to date and frequently much more than you could buy the part for.
