Well today was the cutoff to go after some fuel injection related parts. It is still top of mind custom ordering what I need will take longer. This stuff is still for sale. I'm not in any particular rush. I'll keep the fire stoked however.
Have you seen the EFI setups that take the place of the Weber’s? They look like dcoe Weber’s only they are FI units. With Megasquirt ecu management they could be interesting. You still need to have the Weber intake manifolds though.
Good stuff. I haven't given up on ITB's but I would need a setup like @DennisLJacob describes. The Jenvey units can come close to weber dimensions. A lot of the ITB's including ATP are quite thin. Still don't understand how their shaftless throttle bodies work!
I was excited when I saw this tread, but then looked at the date. I am really torn. Have the original carb setup, but one of the coupes I bid on on BaT had the triple Weber set up and I have been hunting for the right set for a while. Also intrigued by the 38/38 down draft and now @tferrer has introduced a new variable.
I have a later model low miles 3.5L injection engine sitting on a shelf along with the Getrag 265. Not in a rush, but all the options are open...
