Early last fall, the upper armrest cap ( part No. 51411815236) on the passenger door shattered spectacularly when my sister slammed the door shut. This started a multi-month and multi-continent search for a replacement (in black), which has been NLA from BMW for at least a decade. Found one in Germany, but refused delivery when UPS wanted $351 in tariff payments. Subsequently found a second cap (in beige) which would require me to dye the part, since my interior is black.
Shortly thereafter, the seller of the original (black) cap found a way to send me the originally-purchased part with a much more reasonable $19 tariff charge. In the meantime, the second (beige) cap got hung up in customs for almost 3 months (tariffs strike again). The second (beige) part arrived this morning.

Bottom line, is I now have two - count 'em 2 - of the very-hard-to-obtain factory part, shown in the photos. The black one has been mounted on my door and now the beige one is for sale. Will part with it for the same $90 I paid for it (plus shipping to you). All the hard work has been done, and since it's in the country, no additional tariffs will be involved.
