Fuel Filter Change

Could some one give me step by step instructions to replace my fuel filter? Should I remove the fuel pump fuse and run the engine to reduce pressure in the system? And is it ok that I have little under 1/2 tank of fuel. 3.0CSi 1972.

Thank you both - done successfully. Also changed plugs and gapped them correctly - old ones were gapped way to wide and pretty beat up. Cars running great now…

I am about to fit a new filter to my car also, but I am not sure to what or how the filter bracket is attached.
I removed the filter years ago and can’t remember how it goes back.
Does it just “hook” around the battery tray support gusset or something and did it come loose when you loosened the jubilee clip ?

How to fit the 3.0 CSI Fuel filter ?

Hi guys I am looking for a bit of help again please Does anyone have a photo or info on where does the 3.0 CSI fuel filter get attached in the engine bay. I know it lives somewhere below the battery tray , but I can remember how it should be attached exactly. My old filter has a bracket...

Hi Barry - there is a bracket on the side/underside of the battery tray around which the clamp goes. See the pics attached.
