My 72 CSL has an intermittent fuel leak. If I start it every few days it does not leak. If it sets for a longer period of time, fuel pours down the driver side of the block. The leak seems to be coming from the top of one of the injectors.
I want to remove the intake runners/pipes and correct this problem. I will need new gaskets and sealing rings for the injectors. Where is the best place to get these items? I have taken the car to two reputable (?) mechanics, and it will not leak for them; because they start it, and it will not leak as I have said before. One replaced the back two hoses thinking that would solve the problem. $250 wasted there! So, I guess I will have to do it myself. I want to replace all of the suspect parts while I'm in there.
My question: Where is the best place to get these items? I can always go to the stealer, but they may or may not want to deal with this older model? Thanks for any helpful input. RB
