fuel injection problems

PLEASE send help, car has been in shop too long. Car will run if starter fluid is continuously sprayed into intake. ECU was checked and is good, Pulse generator is working. The car is a euro model w/ D-jet. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I was driving and it just died as if it had run out of fuel. I am sick w/o my baby!! Oh, fuel pump is working(brand new).

Do you mean the trigger contacts when you say pulse generator?
Have you already checked this:
Fuel pump working?
Fuel pump relay?
Above mentioned trigger contacts?
TC wires?
Ground strap from engine to fire wall?

EDIT: now I saw your added info on the fuel pump, good news.

Sounds like you may have had a load of junk come loose and clog the injectors from it sitting so long. Put a pressur gauge on th fuel rail and see what the pressure is while running it on starter fluid. I think it's supposed to be about 28 psi.

If you have pressure, try seeing what happens when you pull the injectors out of the manifold and crank the engine. Unfortunately you may have to pull the intake manifold off to do this, I can't remember the exact assembly.

Obvious warnings and disclaimers here about vaporized fuel and ignition sources DON'T BE STUPID!!!
 
If you would like to confirm your injectors aren't getting a signal-
#1 pull a spark plug.
#2 Any decent shop has a noid tester.
#3 check for ground at injector

You need to confirm fuel pressure- what is it when cranking?

If you respond to this- respond with fuel pressure while cranking.
 
In addition to the other good suggestions, bear in mind that even with a perfectly working fuel pump, pressure can be reduced or otherwise controlled by a fuel pressure regulator. They are not prone to going bad, but like anything mechanical, they can. An inline gauge can be an excellent diagnostic tool.
