I 'm trying to find a replacement for the pierburg mechanical pump on my 2800cs. No one seems to havethe same type, however there is a model listed for the 2002 that requires a pushrod update for the pump to work. Is anyone familiar with this? should I keep looking for the matching part or is the pump pushrod update no big deal?

Anyone convert to a more common mechanical pump?

Thanks in advance.

They must be out there as some of the 2002 guys use them. I think the 2002 pumps have less capacity.

Pumps

The 2002 and e9 use a different hose size for input and output. The 2002 is 8mm and 6mm, the e9 is 8mm and 8mm, I forget which is input/output. They actually still sell a reducer so the e9 pump can be used on a 2002. Maybe I am wrong, below are part numbers and prices from Mesa Performance, e9 is twice the price!

1600, 2002 ALL New 13.31.1.265.192 $113.00

Carb 6 cyl ALL New 13.31.1.260.677 $236.00
