Pierberg pumps made for BMW will often have the BMW ground off of them. Also Pierberg has/had a presence in Italy and pumps may not have Pierberg written on them but just some Italian generic words. Many of us have bought pumps and really wondered if they are OEM, they are. Just in case you run into this. Also 2 versions, older which was repairable (repair kits cannot be found, at least by me) and newer which is sealed. They work the same.
