Gas pedal question

Hi,
I just had a floor panel replaced on the driver side and I'm now trying to figure out how is the pedal secured on the floor board..
It seems it would clip into something, but cannot guess what..
Any clue?

Original welded to the floor pan, but it's easy to drill two holes and bolt it on.

Thanks for the answer.
It seems two designs are available:
Pre-74: pedal is secured at the bottom by the bracket with 2 ball joints referred in the previous email.
Post-74: pedal has no cups for receiving ball joints and clips to something...
