We currently have a 3.0csi from scuderia colonia sportiva in for it's annual service.
They have used a coarse stone guard textured finish in the correct places to also include the front and rear wheel arch lips:

I couldn't find an answer in the very informative section here - https://e9coupe.com/forum/threads/e9-color-placement-what-color-goes-where.36753/

My question is - did the E9's have the wheel arch lips highlighted above in this textured paint finish from the factory - as we have a 3.0cs in it's very final stages of paint:

Many thanks in advance.

I think he was more asking about the arches themselves.

I do not believe that would be correct but I’m a noob so don’t just take my word for it.

my memory is the lip of the arch is smooth the entire length - only the outer surface has the texture. its the same on the underside of the front / rear valance (smooth). this is shown on @Keshav CSL pic above.

I am attaching my picture, the rough surface is under the horizontal line and extends into the lip.
No promise on originality, I am the second owner.

I spray 3/4 of the lip with stone ship s well.
As fare as my knowing, that was original.
But anyway, it protect the arch lip.
