COPY OF SECTION 23 -Manual gearbox Getrag 262 and ZF

I went around a corner and attempted a down shift into second and heard a huge grinding sounded like every gear hitting every other gear!

Couldn’t find anything but fourth or reverse after that. Limped home onto the lift.

taking out the tools:
i couldn’t find a clean scan of this anywhere so…
here is one I made of my original blue shop manuals.

Stored on a shelf for God only knows how many years. I think it is time for me and the 1253 to part ways. I'm going to venture to guess that these were used in the 2000 CS M10 powered coupe.

Complete with removable bell-housing, shifter assy.
