Old thread but since I’m in the process of removing one transmission and replacing it with another, thought I’d post pictures of what it looks like without the drive gear (#10 mentioned above) vs with it in place. Sometimes you can’t tell that something is missing unless you know what its presence looks like. Also explains why transmission number 1 didn’t have speed being captured. Interesting that it had the pinion gear in there but no drive gear. I should Have checked by just spinning the flange - if the gear is there you can see the internal portion of the pinion spinning. The things I learn. But at least removing a transmission is now an hour-long job instead of 3 hours. I’m getting there!
