Happy Holiday weekend everyone. I am getting new leather upholstery for MY BABY and getting it done in Boise, about 3 hours away. I'm wondering if it would be easier to just remove all the seats and send to Boise, and have them shipped back, rather than round trip twice with 2 cars. Is it correct to assume removing the seats would be fairly simple?

For shipping I used this for my rims and had a very positive and in expensive experience. This site also give you idea of how much to ship

New leather and dog claws? :)

I recommend having a friend help you remove the front seats. And roll down the windows so that you can use the space to maneuver the seats while removing them.

The seats are cumbersome for one person and the seat rails can end up damaging interior parts. I messed up the ebrake handle when I removed mine and had to replace it.

Got my seats redone. They look good. Costs $1,700 to get installed; but the guy said he lost his shirt on the install.
getting installed on Monday. I will do a video/images
Here's a video

Tragic.?.

I think you got what you paid for, but you may have overpaid. As pointed out by your installer, the covers are larger than the originals. As a result, there is a significant amount of extra material. This material will not shrink. Rather, it will stretch as it gets some butt time (or paw time?). True, some sun/heat will help to smooth out the wrinkles, there will still be puckers and gathers due to the extra material. This would have been an opportunity to redo the horsehair with new or foam, which could have helped fill out for the extra cover material. My 2cents.

Looks pretty good. The leather will settle in a little after being in the hot sun a few times.
Keep them seats moisturized just like your skin.
Are your dogs still allowed in? :)

Of course the dogs are allowed in although unfortunately, we lost one dog last week to cancer. We have two dogs now.
