Getting MY BABY reupholstered- how hard to remove seats?

I just did my interior this year and that is a fair price for what you got. I looked into your route but decided to get them custom made with a high quality Garret V305 leather. It was far more than I wanted to spend, $14k, but was VERY happy with the outcome. The issue I had with the covers from world upholstery and others was the color match and the fit. To me my seats look like they just came from the factory with the color and the smell of high quality leather is amazing. My son and many of my friends thought I was crazy spending that much but when they saw the outcome the agreed it was worth every penny. I LOVE getting in my car and having that leather smell!

When time comes to get my seats redone I’ll look into a set of Sport S seats from GTS.
Getting my car painted comes first.

Of course the dogs are allowed in although unfortunately, we lost one dog last week to cancer. We have two dogs now.
You and I have tangled a bit in other threads but please accept my sincerest condolences on the death of your dog. Its so hard to lose a pet.

Here's the final result, noting:
  • the clips that hold the seat backs in place were not properly done, and now need attention... My shop neglected to do this right
  • the trim on the backs was omitted because it was digging into the leather and not in great shape
  • the headrest trim looks like crap
  • the back seats I'm told will look better once warmed in the sun
Generally, I am fairly happy. Looks a thousand times better than before, and smells nice, but now the balance of the dashboard and center counsel look like crap and need to address. I can now understand why people can spend so much on the interior.

The seats look flat. They don’t have much contour, if any, which tells me that they will be uncomfortable. No leg support or lumbar. The e9 seat is a very comfortable seat and is supportive enough for long drives. I am a strong believer in doing it right the first time even if the price is a bit shocking. Doing it twice or fixing what was done is more expensive and definitely more frustrating.

honestly, if I had it to do over again, I would do it differently. I wasn't trying to cut corners. I ordered the best leather from World, which I was told was the best source. I did research on who to do it, didn't haggle with their price. The one thing I could have done differently is to drive 2.5 hours to Boise to show them the car to get a proper quote rather than expect them to do a quote based upon images.

Im not trying to have a go at you, my concern is with the amount of driving you do, will these seats be supportive and comfortable? One part of the gain is the visual satisfaction, the other is comfort. New shoes that don’t look great and hurt your feet after an hour doesn’t make much sense.

I appreciate it. I honestly didn't think there was much to do to contour them in a fashion to make more comfortable. Oddly, I have found the seats to be fairly comfortable, all things considered generally. Frankly, a long road trip is uncomfortable after 3+ hours regardless.

Where did the alum trim go to? I ask cause a few members have been looking and they are impossible to find in any shape given size and fragility.

Matching keychain?
Lol, yes but that was a surprise gift. Paul Kramer at Autokennel, whose shop is next door to Juan Ortiz Upholstery has Juan make keychains out of Porsche leather swatches to match the interior of cars that he has for sale. He had Juan make one for me then snuck it on to my keys during Legends 2016.
