Engine ran a little rough in idle so I started tearing it down. Found 2 pistons that had started to seize in their liners. It´s amazing how far you can take an engine apart without taking it out of car if you lack the facilites to do it properly...

If anyone has two high compression pistons (12.5:1) for a Jag V12 lying around, please let me make you an offer. They are NLA...

Thanks DQ,
as I understand these engines you referre to came from a limousine (4 door) XJ. These always had the lower compression (11.5:1). Only the XJS ever came with the high CR engine. Besides it´d be a shame to take a good engine apart to save a bad one.
I´m email-hunting the specialist breakers yards in the UK. Someone must have made a coffee table out of the right kind of V12 and still have the pistons lying around... ;)
