Does anyone have a picture of the globe box and more specifically the "line/chain" that keeps it from just dropping down? I think it connects to a clevis on the glove box end and then a tab on the body, but I can't find the part in my parts stash and I'm not sure what it looks like.

Does this help any?

I don't remember my installation... does part 6 actually stop the glovebox from just falling down when you open it? I thought there was some kind of strap doing that.

Here’s a picture from the coupe that is for sale on bring a trailer right now…picture #111

The parts diagram isn't quite correct. The hinge link has an outer plastic sheath and then the post can rotate within that to allow that portion of the hinge to swivel as the door opens and closes. The parts diagram doesn't appear to show those two pieces, but you can see it in this picture (copied from an old thread here). In addition, the parts diagram suggests the spring is on the left side of the glovebox but in my car and all the other photos I see the spring is on the right. The button for the glovebox light is on the left.

Oil's Design Group sells that hinge link if you need it
