I have a set of 4 MSW 15" gold mesh wheels with Bridgestone Turanza 205/60-15 tires with 20k miles, easily have 50k left in them. They have always been perfectly balanced, are quiet and comfortable, lips are polished, no curb rash of any kind, includes BMW center caps and chrome lug nuts. I am hoping someone in SoCal would like them for their coupe or e3, they also fit e12, e24, e28. Too heavy to try and ship, asking $275 OBO, help me get the word out. Pics below. Yes, I finally broke down and now have new staggered Alpinas!

Thanks Gary, let me know when you're available to drive up and freshen up the calipers for me! Actually, I do agree, I replaced them six years ago and it's time to do some cleaning. The tires are Conti Extreme Contact DW and although they have two wide ribs they don't look as aggressive on the car and they are symetrical as well. I followed your advice on the center caps and bought new lug nuts that look like the originals. Don't I get any credit for having the roundel upright in my photo?
 
Thanks Charlie, happy holidays to you as well. I actually only installed the passenger side wheels, still need 4 more lug nuts from Mesa, will get it done this Thursday.

No, they are real Alpinas. But with that said, I am seeing more and more of Peter's wheels on coupes in the neighborhood and they really, really look nice. I was offered a chance to buy an original set that had been straightened but not yet refinished at a very good price. Refinishing costs $150/wheel so I spent less than the going price of up to $2500 for a very nice original and refinished set. At $1500 you can't beat Peter's price and I don't think you would go wrong by buying them if you are interested.

Now we have to get Rakestraw to put the Michelin XWX on his CSL! One down and one to go!!! He is a tough sell.
 
Here are two photos of the Alpinas. It was actually dry enough to take the coupe for a spin and vist two good friends, came back with a few goodies too. I always drive it every Saturday so after two weeks I was suffering from withdrawal. Next issue will be to decide how to lower the nose, I have about 2 1/2 inches between tire shoulder and fender, rear doesn't look too bad.

Chris,
I have a spare set of staggered alpina's in decent shape. Where did you get your's re-finished? Was it Speedway in Santa Ana?

I'm not sure if it's worth it as mine are straight and just need to be freshened up.
 
Mike, Yes it was Speedway, Dan does great work.

Alan, Thanks. No one has said, "you should have kept the gold wheels." In fact Paul C. thought they made the paint look darker. Don't know if that's possible.

Looks great Chris. Nothing like a set of Alpinas on a coupe to make it look just right.
