MA-VMS – (MINE AFFILIATED - VERY MUCH SO
) LOL...

With a heavy heart I have decided to put the Bav up for sale. As many of you smart people that follow the market know, I am not giving it away at $25.9K. This was done on purpose. I have been doing this long enough to know simple selling Rule #1 - You can always come down in price; you can never go up; unless it is out of your hands in the right auction. Therein lays the tricky part.

If someone from e9coupe.com is interested in the BAV, I will be more than happy to discuss in more detail and will be more flexible on the price knowing it will be going to a good home. BMW CCA member? Even more “bro deal” appeal. LOL. I didn’t mention initially that it was for sale on purpose on here. It's been up since September 19th, 2019. I wanted to gauge how many members on here visit Hemmings for e3’s. Apparently nobody or at least nobody that likes to repost stuff for sale on E9coupe.com. I was NOT shocked at this finding. Thanks to those of you that knew, but didn’t say or post anything on here because I asked you not to. The reason for posting now is I am still not in a hurry by any means to sell; but SoCal Vintage is this weekend so I wanted to get word out a bit for anyone from back East that was interested; now would be a great time to have somebody from anywhere on the planet come look at my Bav for you if you can’t make it yourself to Woodley Park Van Nuys (Porn Capital of the World, Ummm…..so I’ve read), CA this Sat. the 2nd, Nov.

Please come in person to verify everything I am saying is true in the ad. Pictures don’t lie too much either, there are a lot of them in three links in Hemmings link below. I will not be bringing all the paperwork but I can take more pics of receipts if you are interested and send to your by PM down the road, or come by in person and view. Please also verify that it is matching numbers etc. For the life of me I can’t get my iPhone to take a decent picture of the motor VIN. But trust me or ask anyone that knows me, it is matching numbers w/ BMW Certificate of Authenticity, I will try and remember to bring a copy of that (I have original in pics w/ hologram on Hemmings site and in my folder at home).

First dibs to the buyer to buy a bunch (garage full) of parts including a recently rebuilt 86' head with mild cam, stiffer springs (cam and springs purchased from Ireland Engineering; complete with leak down test and receipt from well known SoCal builder, so well known I forget the name, but on receipt...LOL), STAHL reproduction hand crafted headers (my car was used for fitment and to make JIG, so I know they fit great) and have a great titanium finish. My Petri w/ refurbished leather wrapped 38” steering wheel, clutch fan, the Cromodora's that were on there, etc. will all be available at EXTRA COST to the buyer. After that I will post some of the other major parts on here for sale whatever isn’t sold. I will be throwing in a lot of extra parts and have other stuff for sale. That can be worked out with buyer later. But how it sits now, what is in photographs in AD; is how it will come.

I have nothing to hide, I am an open book. Most of you know car well. Build thread is on this site:

Build Thread e9coupe.com: https://www.e9coupe.com/forum/threads/73-golf-bavaria-build-thread.18583/

Here is the Hemmings Link: https://www.hemmings.com/classifieds/cars-for-sale/bmw/bavaria/2320696.html

Here is the BMW CCA Link: https://www.bmwcca.org/ads/226291

If it doesn’t sell in a couple months, I am thinking of throwing it on Hemmings Auction site. I really like the layout and everything about it (other than a lot of people familiar with Hemmings having an Auction site). But I feel like it is early BaT days. Even nicer format in my opinion….and no cost if already paid for regular ad which is really cool!!!!

I will hopefully see some of you at the SoCal Vintage. If I am not around the car, go to Carl Nelson’s tent and ask any of those derelicts (kidding guys) where I am or go by the REYN tent and most likely I will be there drinking a cold one.

Oh, Coupe trades or interesting 1600, 2002 (any format: touring, tii, ti, TURBO ha ha are welcome, sorry, no Isetta’s!) I'll leave you with this, first off..........find another.............second, the e3's share a lot in common with the E9......for $25.9K, what is out there anymore for that price? Just sayin! It would look great parked next to your Golf CSL or Golf Tii!!!! Go for the trifecta!

Thanks for looking. -GB

Both BMW and Hemmings want a sign in/free trial. Can you post a direct link? Thanks

I will immediately contact my Golf tii buddy who just unloaded his Boxster at an enormous profit.

Oh thanks Steve....the BMW CCA link may take until tomorrow. It has been there just as long but I didn't realize I had to renew every month. I just renewed, got confirmation but I don't see it yet live. I'll check tomorrow. Use this for Hemmings: https://www.hemmings.com/classifieds/cars-for-sale/bmw/bavaria/2320696.html

I changed link above, yeah it was because I was logged into my account.

Oh, man, Shane!
I'm surprised by this to say the least.
May your amazing Bavaria find a worthy home.
Your car would make a fitting addition to Ann Fagan's Golf CS.

Andrew, thanks for the kind words bud. Hope to see you Sat. Yes, I have had many sleepless nights about this and still do. It is not a done deal I will sell by any means. I am still trying to figure everything out. I'll tell you more in person probably best way to leave it. Thanks again bud, you are a true ambassador to the hobbie! - Shane

Had hoped to get my Bav side by side with yours one day but perhaps that will have to wait until the next lucky owner comes along.

Good luck with the sale Shane.

Thanks for the kind words guys. Drew.............let's make that happen. It's comments like these that make me want to keep her. I was getting some coffee and driving back thinking...."Why do I want to sell the unicorn, only to be able to afford a rode hard, put away wet, used quarter horse? "Buy the new saddle for the unicorn and ride off into the rainbow" LOL, hmmmmmmm maybe that wasn't coffee? Ahhhhhhh :p

Thanks Shane for the the coverage heads up - your E3 looks more like Maisgelb or Condor yellow (not E3 colors) than Golf - the early light is the culprit I'm sure. GLWTS

You are correct, it does change different hews of Green/Yellow/Lt. yellow depending on the light, that was taken early with a slight haze I would say, right? Thanks for hosting again my friend! Take care, see you soon I hope. I'll post on events too.
