I've notice a drip from the rear end. It's very slow and I guess its coming from the differential. Any known trouble spots? What do you think I'm looking at. Thanks- Paul

Sounds like a leaky diff..

Along the same lines, do any of you guys know if installing new seals and gaskets into a LSD diff is an easy thing? Or does it take someone that specializes in Diff rebuilding w/ special tools..

leaky tiki diff-eriki

diffs can leak on the rear cover, usually just a flat gasket there

They can leak at the drive flange(s); just a regular seal there, no need for fancy tools but the nut holding the flange on, may be large and I suggest you have a 1/2 inch impact handy or available.

Could also be a leak at the drain hole or fill port. Both take a crush washer...? No biggie there either.

Nothing to really get into a sweat about.

UNLESS the leak is at the input end. Even then you may be able to extract the seal, dunno, haven't looked there.

Question is, WHY did it start to leak? this is not usual.

I recommend you take it to the do-it-yourself car wash with an aerosol can of Gunk, and a brush if it's really grimy, and clean all the oil off the exterior. Then drive it enough for the leak to appear again and you should be able to pinpoint the source.
