Corvair was sold after almost 40 years of ownership last fall. I did find a couple of parts for it yesterday in the garage I'll try to get to the new owner. I don't buy and sell as fast as you.... In many ways I wish I had. At this point I think my Lowly 07 Forester XT is all the car I will ever need. If it is wrecked or stolen, I might get another.

Nicad, yes, in the real world all we need is a 15 year old Forrester. Our first AWD Subaru, an '01 went 197k. An early death for a Forrester. Our second Forrester, an 03 with 111k is hardly broken in.

Our FIRST Subaru, an 87 four door sedan, FWD, went 147k, all hard, hard miles. We have owned five total.

But we have our addiction to feed, and so here we are spending lots of what used to be valuable time on screens about cars.

Mine is at 284,000 KM and working as good as it ever did. I do hear a bit of tickover till it is really warm. Might be an idler pulley as they are still original. Probably do all that stuff at 300,000. Turbo still original. The only thing I have changed since doing a suspension redo at 120,000 KM is an alternator a rad and the exhaust. My first Legacy went to 385,000 KM before the next owner scrapped it due to a leaky gas tank and full sub frame removal needed to to fix it. Haseeb, I think those E46 go a long time too. I found the suspensions need a go over semi frequently to make them feel like BMWs, but it is straightforward. Maybe you will hang onto this one for years!!! Or at least a month.

My friends made a bet for two months o_O lmaoo hmmm this one is already pretty high mileage but it seems like everything was replaced so runs great! It's on BC Coilovers at the moment (only 1k miles on them) and I'm kinda shocked as how much fun it is to drive (-: Interesting for you to mention Subarus, I always liked them and my dad has been pushing for me to finally get one. Do you have any thoughts on the 02-03 Impreza Outback wagon?
