FOLKS:
Wow. What a journey. I wanted to share a few images from our show production "Bring it Home" for PTA (PlanesTrains+Automobiles) that I described in an earlier thread.
A massive thanks to Paul Cain and Terry Conners. Without Terry I wouldn't know Paul. Without Paul I wouldn't now own a gorgeous 1978 530i e12 that matches my e9 (Fjord/Tan). Without Paul I wouldn't still be shaking from the rides in both his 3002ttiil and the infamous 3.8CSi. Those two rides were worth the price of admission.
We captured nearly 6 hours of Ultra HD (up to 5K) video that documents the entire experience of picking up the e12 from Paul to pulling into my driveway here in SF. You'll have to wait for the show - but in the interim I thought I'd share a few pictures from the trip. These are from my iPhone and Leica. I'll show a few more from the RED Epic in the coming days.
The car? I can't begin to tell how it drove. 95mph and begging for more. No hands on the wheel. Cornering into turns on US 1 like it came from the showroom (but better). What a great car. I hope our story does it justice.
Cheers,
SHIMBO
