I did not take these pictures and I have no idea who did, I was asked to bring a few cars to the local BMW show and this was one they particularly wanted to see there.
Obviously everybody has an opinion and thats fine by me.
The history of this car is very well know and its place in the E9 world pretty well established.
But for anybody who cares to know.
It was born as an Alpina race car, never a street car, it is/was the BMW Holland race CSL, so lots of pictures for everybody to see in either BMW classic or other sites. Sven is correct its the first CSL to appear at a race track. It was the sixth CSL made or seventh if you include CS prototype. The car spent many years in the Ben Huisman stable of E9s.
The car ran in a few different liveries, but the choice was to meticulously restore back to its Levi "cow" colors, including recording and replicating every twist and turn as it appeared on the car in the day, it also ran in Marlboro colors.
The car is currently restored in full Alpina racing trim exactly as it raced in the 70s.
