Green vs clear glass--how to tell?

The green glass is available, the cleat NLA. This may sound stupid, but i have some old glass from a 1969 2800cs and I can't tell for sure whether it is green or clear? Are there numbers on the glass that indicate which is which?

If out in the sun, the shadow from the glass will appear green on white concrete as I recall.

Or just view a piece of plain, white paper through the glass. If it appears pale green, the glass is tinted.

Ok, I feel stupid now. :grin: Been trying to examine it in the fluorescent light of my garage at night. Will check it in full sun on my next sunny day off.

For traffic lights a green tinted glass would attenuate the red light more than the green light.


Few officers buy that story, expect a fine with any glass.
