GRILL BADGES SHIPPED AND GETTING REPORTS OF RECEIPT

Wow ..That was quick... got mine this morning....And it looks a whole lot better than I anticipated....At first I thought I'd probably keep the badge as a souvenir...Now that I see it...it is really well made , very sharp and elegant...Now I can't wait to mount this badge !
Great job guys.
You Da man JJ..... 8)
Look forward to seeing some pics of your E 9 Driven front ends.

I found a heavy letter within the 3 badges i ordered in my mailbox this evening.

Whow, that was fast, it was postmarked yesterday by the austrian customs office, they stayed duty-free. Well done with the custom declaration, John!

Allright, what can i say, very good job they made by "Quality Lapel Pin", the badges look really great! :D

And many thanks to you John for all your efforts!

Fantastic !

Das hast du wirklich gut gemacht, ich habe große Freude damit, und meine Wiener Kollegen sicher auch!
Danke nochmals, ich hoffe wir alle sehen uns im November auf einen Kaffee oder einen guten Tropfen Wein !

badge

Got mine yesterday. Looks terrific.

Yes it is heavy, but I really do not think that mounting it on the grill will be a problem.

And for those of us who also have a BMCCCA grill badge, what is the "proper" side to mount it on?

For those concerned about grill mounting I have provided a photo of the mounting hardware I am using (I sent out a some of these to a few lucky badge buyers):

I locked the angle bracket over a grill vane and gentle snugged up the self locking nuts. I am confident that it will not fall off and since the load is spread I think the grill will not break. For those of you will >300 HP and improved brakes you may pull enough G's the that badge momentum rips out the entire grill.

....an additional use....

..a shuriken (ninja star) to throw at lame drivers tires. when they pull over to fix the flat, they will then know to keep their distance in future E9 encounters.......

WARNING - DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CARRY A BADGE ON TO A COMMERCIAL FLIGHT AS IT MAY BE CLASSIFIED AS A WEAPON!

Badge arrived

Badge has reached Scotland! Many many thanks. The pictures do not do them justice - they are superb. Wonderful quality.

Well done John, and thank you once again.

The only dilemma I now have is which of my current grille badges shoud I remove to make way for this one? I already have one on each grille - halfway between the headlights and the centre kidney grille.

One is a handpainted coat of arms / crest for the Scottish Police College. It would have been fitted to some of the old Jags etc when advanced driver training was taking place. It is probably over 40 year old, and was given to me by a former police Sergeant when he retired. It does not say police anywhere on it, but it is one of things that only Cops ( and hopefully Traffic Wardens ) will recognise. All police officers in Scotland attend the same College on joining the force, so they all recognise the crest.

The other is a St Andrews cross in a shield which says SCOTLAND at the top.

Oh, Decisions decisions! :) I can see a rotation basis coming on!!

Mine arrived as well, but it is a little pockmarked and the paint had chipped off a bit. Still very nice, though.

Nah, auction it off. The program has officially cleared a small profit. Considering this small set back we are still about +25 cash and +50 with accounts receivable. I have a small stock to deal with a few more "gotcha's" and life is generally good. :D

For grill badge guidance--my suggestion

Mine arrived the other day but have been running so hard that pausing at the computer has been to deal with "business" stuff

JJ--hey look great and are far more robust than expected!!!!!!!!--hope to have mounted by Monday as the grills are coming off for in depth detail.

And since the BLUMAX already wears two badges--one being the original CS Registry from about 18-20 years ago and the second a Munchen badge to remind BLUMAX where he was delivered 38 tears ago--and in view of weight distribution consideration being slightly toward the drivers side when mounted up--it will permanently join the others on the passenger side--located in close proximity to the other two with NO FEAR of breaking a black slat with either coming off the line or clamping the binders.

I'll report back in a couple of years the test results if still around--driver that is--not the badge..
