I'm refurbishing the speedometer/odometer and found needle's tensioning spring is all screwed up.
Does anyone have or have a speedometer they can offer?

Thanks, Rob

I may have what you're looking for but won't be home to look till next weekend.
E9 speedos have different gears in them to accommodate for different drive lines so be careful purchasing a complete unit.

be sure to read @HB Chris wonderful FAQ on speedos + diff ratios

you need to know what the speedo number is on your car so you get the right one.

Many years ago (before my car went to SFDon's), my wife poked her head into my office and asked what I was doing on the computer.
I told her I am researching Coupe's and LSD's. She gave me the most quizzed look I have seen from her in a long time. LOL

Hey Rob, if you quit rolling your speedometer back every 10K miles, this wouldn't happen....Just kidding...good luck, wish I could help out. I'm sure someone here has the proper speedo for ya. Wait a minute, speedo...LSD...this is getting weird.

tell me what number speedo you need, i might have one
Thanks @rsporsche
My speedometer =
VDO 20/134/1, W=0.7125, date 1.74
Diff is 3.45.
It is a Euro and Carl at Odometer gears said the odometer wheels clock differently and so best to find a salvage hairspring rather than a mileage odometer. But he said I could use a hairspring from a mileage odometer.
