Now I have a 73 Euro 3.0 CS, tailpipe looks original ie, like hell. Just measured and it is 55mm so I am confused. I need a new one, now not sure what to look for. I will go SS at some point but not now, just want to get the thing to move on its own power after 4 years. Any insights here?

The 60mm tail pipe and chrome tip has not been available for quite some time. RealOEM is infamous for showing parts for another application as being correct for another model. Technically they are correct as it will fit but it isn’t the original part, only the 2800CS used 55mm.
Understood. My 55mm looks older than any part of the system so I assumed original but you are implying no. There is a 60mm out there, love a challenge.
The 60mm roles chrome tips aren’t difficult to find in 80mm lengths. The BMW tip is 100mm long.
