headers?

if you have headers on your car (Stahl), how do they connect to the rest of the system? are the down pipes shortened?

The stahl headers are long tube and eliminate the down-pipe.

I am not sure how they connect. I use a set of H&B headers and they require some additional work to connect to the rest of the system.

Stahl headers for the e3 or e9 jog back to the center of the car. on some of the other cars, i believe the stahl header is shortened as the exhaust doesn't run down the middle of the car. my stahl header hooked right up to the Fritzbits exhaust.

what i will tell you is that fritzbits and W+N stainless exhaust are very similar ... supposedly made by the same people in the UK.

I have Stahl headers on my E3 I believe they originally matched up with the dual pipes going into the muffler next to the driveshaft.
I didn't keep those parts. I ordered a 2-1 merge collector from Columbia Mandrel and made an expansion piece behind it and directly into a 2-1/2" tailpipe.. It works really well.
