I have domed Cibie highbeam lenses and flat Hella lowbeam lenses. Is there any preference to shape etc? I have a crack in a lowbeam lens and want to replace (preferable with the city light feature).

US was sealed beam of course but Europe would have had the flat H1 low beam and flat H1 high beam from Hella or the equivalent domed Cibie. Cibie got better light output ratings back in the day, I think they look cool too. Your choice.
Are these just plug and play? Or do the Hella / Cibie need wiring updates due to electric draw rate?

The domed Euro headlights were only fitted to the E3 and E9 cars until spring 71. After that point the flat headlight were fitted due to their higher efficiency.
