I'm trying to coordinate a dash and wood change as the initial step of an E9Interior restoration. Has anyone done the dash in leather? I guess I need to start with removing the front and rear windows and replacing the headliner. Who makes the best replacement headliner for a 72, non-sunroof, fixed shoulder harness E9? Also, my interior door panels need some attention. Any recommendations?

Thank You for any input,

Pat

Re the headliner, if you're doing the dash in leather, you could consider doing a different material headliner. Mine is suede alcantara, and was done by a local upholsterer. I think it came out very nicely, and it wasn't all that expensive.

What needs to be done to the door cards? There are three different vinyl material pieces used of each panel. If just the lower smooth piece is damaged then you can replace that. There are some threads here about replacing the press board backing piece if it is badly warped or water damaged, etc. You can buy complete door cards with vinyl (in black only) for ridiculous money. Check out Worlduph.com

Door panels

Thanks Sven. The door cards are decent, but the bottom of the panels are in fair condition. I think they are salvageable. Thank you for the info.
