oem Headliner

i have secured the absolute last oem headliner with the diamond pattern
brand new 10mm x5mm grid between the diamonds
its for a unit with the electric sunroof zipper in the back
which is white and steel
this is the real deal -factory unit
this is the replacement sold by bmw - the zipper portion has a seam all the way across not a cut out for the zipper
i only need the sunroof cover portion so the rest is for sale
main piece is 53" long and 63" wide -seems like it should have been reversed -oh well
must be allowing for visers since the roof is only 4' wide
pm me at [email protected]
for details
ok

so Alan, are you selling it ... or just describing it? i don't have a sunroof car, so it doesn't work for me.

What exactly is the "sunroof cover portion" and what does the rest look like. Price? Photos please.

ae

ill try and post the pic
but reducing it sometimes blurs
the image
yes i am selling it
its exactly like the oem
trust me i researched this for a month
and the sunroof portion is for the sliding cover that
come off when dissembling

Do you have the entire headliner? In the diamond pattern are they actually perforations or just indentations or heat pressed? Is this the one that was on e-bay for a while? I just missed buying that but it never came back up for sale. Do you have any pics? What is your asking price?
Thanks
Tom

alan

yes this is the one on ebay
and this baby is the real deal
it had to have been the last one
cause i had to have the original back in
so i checked all the data before i bought it and
now the sunroof portion is on my sunroof cover
its absolutley perfect
im doing it now
the depth and grid dimensions are exact
send me a post at [email protected]
ok

He asked $340 when I inquired 8 days ago. Couldn't supply a part number. His carefully typed in email to me:

"THEY IS NO PART NUMBER
YOU WANT IT OR NOT ITS AXACTLY THE SAME
AS ORIGINAL"

and 5 minutes later:

"THERE ARE 5 PEOPLE WANTING THIS
OF MAKE UP YOUR MIND"

A real pleasure to deal with...

Alan

didnt mean to be rude apologies
this has no part number -why i dont know
but its the real deal
so 300.00 is fine

A few day ago I had posted a WTB Sunroof headliner bracket. Alan sent a PM offering to make an Autocad design of that bracket with all the measurements so that I could make one. It must taken him a few hours to do it which I thought was really nice of him. I guess we all get bad days once in a while or maybe he was working on 5 different things at the same time. I don't know him other than the contact we had concerning the Sunroof bracket.

As it turns out, another member, "Peterinfla" had one available and is sending it to me--FREE as he had no use for it, great guy. So I won't need to make one using Alan's Autocad design but at least I had a backup thanks to Alan.

I just had contact with the guy who sold this headliner to aearch. He told me he sold it for 260 including shipping and you used the sunroof panel piece. So I believe this is not a complete headliner kit. I will pass.

area of pieces

the main portion of the piece is for the whole roof area
so if you dont have a sunroof this will work as the sunroof area would be cut out of the main piece
and then theres the front portion
so if you dont have a sunroof this will work

A sunroof headliner shouldn't work on a non-sunroof car. You get the entire lining, but you have to cut the hole out and fold the material back to finish the edges of the opening. Non-sunroof cars have more rods than sunroof cars so if this doesn't have the socks for the rods (which are actually material folded back and sewn together, then it won't work for a non-sunroof car. Just because there is enough material to span the roof doesn't mean it would work.

Area

There is additional material to make the seams
its much longer then needed
also if you dont havea sunroof you dont need to cut a hole
hello

update

so for clarification the
back portion of the headliner
is 38" long and 4' wide
the main piece i have is 57" long and wide
PLENTY TO DO WHATEVER YOU WISH
plus the front portion is addititional
so this will fit any car with extra to spare
you would even have enuff to do a sunroof also
so its a complete set for both with or without

So You Did Get It?

So Alan, I assume you did receiver the headliner kit after all. I received paper work from UPS to file since you reported the item not delivered. You beat me up on the price now you'll take out the masterial you need and sell the remainder at a profit...nice!

The headliner in my car is stock and made differently from this kit. The material on the front bulkhead on my car is actually perforated not heat pressed and the main headliner has a pattern.
