Headlining Colour

So has anyone got pictures of black headlining in their car.

Thinking of this for my CSI but cant remember seeing one properly.

Assuming design and perforations are the same

I'm pretty sure the original material is NLA. SMS is the closest available thing. Can you save the original liner?

One thing to note is that the SMS fabric has some fidelity loss. It’s the best that we can get however.

Many thanks to @aearch for sending a sample of fabric from SMS.

I just grabbed the mail on the way out the door, so no time to do a side by side comparison (yet).

My initial observation is that the fabric is heavy duty. It is a good 1mm thick and fabric backed. The perforations are present, but almost invisible to the naked eye. I suspect that in larger form, they are more visible in the cabin. With that said, I know that the perforations do not match factory specs. I’m not sure how close the texture is, but it looks convincing.

The fabric isn’t flat in this picture so note the waves.

SMS also thicker than original, makes it a bit difficult wrt placing alum trim pieces back and riveting of front molded headliner portion.

I used their headliner in my e24. I don't know if all the headliner product they have are the same weight but I had no problem wrapping the pinch welds with it and getting my trim on
