hi, really no idea but if everything fails just submerge your chromed ones in amoniac (NH3), e voila !
first try in the unseen side of the part for finishing aspect

Unfortunately the pair i'm trying to replace are damaged originals. As far as I'm aware black bezels are another one of those changes for the post "74 model. Earlier models had the chrome versions. As such I'm guessing these are not going to be easy to source

Looks like part number should be 52101828905 and BMW dealer should be able to get them,$10-$14.Used on several other models also.
